Wing Foil Lessons
How it works:
Beginner Lesson
For the first lesson, students will learn how the wing works, how to set up the gear, and we’ll start with some practice flying the wing on the beach. Then I’ll get you flying the wing on a stand-up paddle board. I’ll follow along in the coach boat and help you learn to sail across the wind, change your direction, and pump the wing for more power.
Beginner wing lessons are pretty low key, and can be a super fun outing at the beach, even if you’re not overly interested in learning how to foil.
Pricing: 2 Hr Lesson - $400 | 3 Hr- $550
Intermediate Lesson
For this phase in the learning process, it really comes down to experience on the foil. Students who are already proficient at foiling will be ready to hop onto a high volume wing-foil board and combine their wing flying skills a with big & slow foil. We’ll work on pumping up onto the foil, controlling speed and altitude, and making S-turns.
For students who are not yet proficient at riding a hydrofoil, there are a couple of options- you can learn behind the boat, or on the E-foil. When learning how to foil, its all about the reps, and the best way to maximize reps is to use a motor.
Pricing: 2 Hr Lesson - $400 | 3 Hr- $550
Advanced Lesson
Once students are able to ride on the foil in both directions, its time to learn how to transition (Gybe). Some wing foilers will spend months to years learning how to gybe. I have been building a list of tried and true drills/exercises that isolate different pieces of the puzzle to help students master this skill.
Other areas of focus for advanced lessons include: tacking, drifting the wing, and surfing the wave.
