Kiteboard Lessons

Intro Lesson

Whether you're brand new to kiteboarding or just need a refresher, an Intro lesson is the perfect place to start. Intro lessons focus on safety, understanding the gear, and building essential kite control skills that develop your muscle memory. Kiteboarding is all about kite control, so I’ll move at a pace that matches your comfort level and progress. The shallow sandbars and warm, protected waters of Nantucket harbor make for the perfect learning environment.

Once you’ve nailed the kite skills, I’ll introduce you to the board, though most students reach this stage in their second lesson. Even before hopping on the board, you’ll feel the excitement of harnessing the kite’s power as it lifts and pulls you across the water. Its an unforgettable experience that sets kiteboarding apart!

Pricing: 3 Hr Lesson- $550

Intermediate / Advanced Lesson

Once you have learned the basics, its time to take your skills next level. Whether your hoping on the board for the first time, riding short distances, still working on kite control, or learning to ride upwind and transition, I have the tips, tricks, and drills to help you progress every step of the way.

Other areas of focus for advanced lessons include: riding upwind, riding toe-side, carving transitions, jumping, self launching/landing, and tricks.

Pricing: 2 Hr Lesson - $400 3 Hr- $550

Group Lessons

Group Lessons are a great way to go if you want to learn with a friend or two. For Beginner group lessons, students will typically take turns flying the kite and observing. Learning to kiteboard can be pretty tiring, and a lot of students enjoy being able to take breaks and watch their friend. You will actually learn quite a bit by listening and observing. Sometimes conditions allow for us to have two kites going at the same time, but this is always dependent on skills and conditions.

Group Lesson Pricing: 3 Hr - $750

Kitesurf & Kite-Foil

For the kiteboarder who has mastered the transition and learned how to catch some air, there is still a lot more of this sport to explore. I’ll never forget the first time I kited on a strapless surfboard. The feeling of freedom from not being strapped in, and the way the surfboard grips and carves through the water is something every kiter needs to experience. Due to the increased volume of the boards, riding a kite-surfboard also allows you to get out in lighter wind conditions. Riding strapless is easier than most people think, so if your on the fence, trust me, give it a try.

Once you have a good feel for strapless riding, Kite-foiling is the next step. Foiling allows kiters to get out in even lighter-wind conditions and experience ultra smooth rides above the water. Nantucket Harbor is a near perfect venue for kite foiling and I have a great selection of foils and kites for this niche discipline.

Pricing: 2 Hr Lesson - $400 3 Hr- $550
